Moving from training into qualified practice can bring new challenges You may find yourself working more independently, managing more complex presentations or wanting another perspective when you are unsure how to move therapy forward.
Supervision can support you with assessment, formulation, treatment planning and developing your confidence in using CBT in practice.
We can also look together at cases that feel stuck, difficulties putting a treatment plan into practice, risk and clinical decision-making, while helping you develop your own way of working as a CBT therapist.

I offer specialist OCD supervision for CBT therapists who would like additional support with assessing, formulating and treating OCD.
Supervision can include OCD assessment and formulation, planning and delivering Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), working with mental compulsions and rumination, and using Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT).
I can also support you with more complex or stuck cases, including presentations involving harm OCD, relationship OCD, sexual intrusive thoughts, real event OCD, false memory OCD and other less easily recognised presentations of OCD.
You are also welcome to access specialist OCD supervision alongside your existing clinical supervision if you would like additional support with your OCD work.
Moving into private practice can feel quite different from working within the NHS or another organisation. You may be making more clinical decisions independently and managing areas that were previously supported by a wider service.
Supervision can provide support with assessment, risk, boundaries, contracting, deciding whether a referral is appropriate and recognising when a client may need a different service or level of support.
We can also think about managing a private caseload, working within your competence and maintaining good clinical practice as you become more established.
